Mercato: one of the members of the Messi-Neymar-Mbappé trio pushed out by PSG owners

Ligue des Champions malgré sa 2e place, le PSG reçoit plus d’argent que le Real Madrid et les autres clubs

PSG is in turmoil after its outsized mercatos that saw the signings of players like Kylian Mbappé and Neymar Jr in 2017 and that of Lionel Messi in 2021. Since with these among others, the French club has risen to a position where it necessarily needs to degrade its workforce to get things done. And if he tries in the row of less important players, the reality is that it still does not work.

Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and Neymar Jr are the three stars that PSG has to reach its most ultimate goal, winning the most prestigious European competition, the Champions League. It is therefore right that the absence of one of the members of the trio is clearly felt on the game of Christophe Galtier’s team, even if it seems that Kylian Mbappé’s weighs much more than the others.

Since the Frenchman is the one who gives the most depth to the game of the Parisian team. It has always been like this and it is not sure that the situation will change before the end of the current season. But next season, we can not say the same, because no one can say with accuracy if the player will be a member of the squad of the club of the French capital or not. And in this doubt, a problem arises within the club.

Indeed, it is about the financial fair play that the French club must respect to continue to compete in the major European competitions, including the Champions League that it wants so much. Since the salaries of its three stars have put the finances of the club that everyone recognizes as one of the richest clubs in trouble. That is to say, in soccer, things happen differently and the injection of capital can not be constant, unless the club reaches a level that allows it.

It is therefore to solve this problem that the British newspaper The Times, announces that the Qatari owners of PSG want to reduce the payroll of the Parisian club by 30% for next season. A decision due to the fact that the team is financially in deficit and also exceeds the salary cap set by UEFA and is therefore in violation of the financial fair play. And the bad news is that this could lead one of its three stars (Messi, Mbappé and Neymar) to leave PSG next summer.
