The proof is that he has just made an offer to his player whose contract expires in 2025. To try to keep him, the club has decided to extend his contract for an additional year and above all a substantial increase in his salary.

Reus is currently at the top of the team’s salary scale with 12 million per year and Dortmund will offer Jude Bellingham 15M€ per season. So far, there have been no formal discussions with the player’s agent, just some soundings. It is therefore expected that Dortmund will make a move in the coming weeks, aware of the interest of clubs like Madrid.
For now, the club has no urgency, because the signing of Bellingham depends on a factor that does not depend only on him: the future of Kroos. The German’s contract expires in June and he has not yet made a decision on his future. Ancelotti has been optimistic about the midfielder’s future, and Kroos himself has acknowledged that it may not be long before he makes up his mind.
The big planning challenge for Real Madrid is to anticipate the departure of Modric and Kroos. Thus, the signatures of Tchouameni and Camavinga were already a first step. But the signing of Jude Bellingham would complete the midfield of the future of the White House.
