Bellingham and Moukoko are two young players of Borussia Dortmund whose names animate the mercato columns. And if everyone already sees the two players leave the German club for new adventures, the general manager of the German club Hans-Joachim Watzke does not see things the same way. Better, he clearly stated his position in an interview with Sky.

Borussia Dortmund is one of the clubs that will be emptied of its young talent if we believe the mercato rumors. But despite all that is said, the German club remains unperturbed about the contractual situation of its players. That’s why the general manager of BVB, Hans-Joachim Watzke, has clarified the position of the club on what is happening around Youssoufa Moukoko, whose contract expires at the end of the season and Jude Bellingham whose contract expires in June 2025.

Indeed, the first whose case has interested the general manager is Youssoupha Moukoko who is still without renewal at Signal Iduna Park. And it appears that the manager understands perfectly the position of the player in the renewal negotiations, so far unsatisfactory, with the sixth of the Bundesliga: “What the player is trying to do right now is to get a good negotiating position for himself. That’s legitimate, but it’s also legitimate that we have our own ideas,” Watzke told Sky TV.

But that’s not all, because he said that if these ideas are no longer consistent, “the cooperation will simply not continue,” while stressing that a transfer of the 18-year-old striker would be “the last resort” and that he expects Moukoko to stay at BVB. According to British media reports, Newcastle United are looking to get their hands on the Borussia star and offer him a salary of nine million euros plus an additional 30 kilos for a transfer to the Magpies.

On the other hand, according to Watzke, the situation of Jude Bellingham, who is also coveted by continental giants like Real Madrid, would be completely different. The English international is still under contract until 2025, so the two cases “can not be compared at all,” said the manager, who added: “Moreover, Bellingham has ‘never’ said he wanted to leave the club. A direct message sent to Real Madrid and the player who must make known his position on the subject.
